If you’re like most of my readers, you’re successful, health conscience and busy! You are committed to creating a healthy lifestyle, and—equally important—succeeding at life. You strive to grow, get better, and reach your potential. You want to have the energy to be the best YOU you can be; at your job, for your family and still want to be able to feel like you can take on the world.

But something keeps getting in the way: There just seems to be too much to do and too little time. Maybe you feel like this reader:

 

I know I need to make changes to my lifestyle starting with my diet, but there is so much conflicting information about what to eat and what not to eat, I don’t know where to begin. I do my best to exercise two or three times a week but I haven’t seen the results I was looking for. There are times when I get so overwhelmed that I feel like I may be stuck feeling this way.

I Know How You Feel

I know what it feels like to realize your health and fitness level is going downhill—to not have the energy to carry your body through the day, or you look in the mirror and you wonder who that person is looking back at you because surely that can’t be you, that person who’s clothes no longer fit. Your life is so busy, you know you have to change, you wonder how you will find the time to manage it, while still attending to the things that matter most—family, health, and community.

For years, I, too, struggled to get fit and find balance in my day to day life. Too often, the first thing to suffer was my health and/or my relationships.

As a successful personal trainer and entrepreneur, I have faced the reality that there’s always more to do than there is time. Finding harmony – because there is no such thing as balance - while learning how to forgive myself for not being perfect, I continue to be the best person I can be. The answer is to learn one thing at a time and keep adding to it when you are confident that you’ve learned the lesson and it’s a part of your toolbox.

If you’re like me, that means making your relationship your health, your marriage, relationships with your friends and your contribution to your community top priorities.
