Scrumptious Summer Smoothies

Smoothies have gained a lot of popularity in recent years, and not just for their health benefits. These tasty treats can make a great breakfast and are the perfect snack or post-workout pick-me-up.

Create your own Scrumptious Summer Smoothies

There are four basic ingredients in a smoothie: greens, fruit, protein and water. But among those four main items, anything goes. Experiment with whatever your taste buds enjoy (and whatever you have on hand!) – toss it into the blender, add some protein and mix! How simple is that?!

If you aren’t comfortable experimenting with ingredients just yet, I’ve included some recipes for you to try. When you do experiment, make sure you try a wide variety of greens and fruit in order to get the greatest benefits and keep things fresh, so you don’t get bored of just a few different flavours. Trust me – you’ll find the combination of greens and fruit is actually quite delicious – and healthy, too!
