A Little About Me…

I became interested in training out of necessity but became a trainer because I developed a passion. Now I want to share what I’ve learned.

I have always been an active person who was always involved with sports – volleyball and basketball were favourites – until I developed issues with my knees. Then life and parenthood started to get hectic and I didn’t have time to be as active as I used to be. Like most people, I began struggling with my weight and my body image. When I was in a car accident, all of the soft tissue in my back was injured and the quality of my life quickly deteriorated due to the constant pain. It was at this point that I decided to start making long-term changes in my lifestyle, and my fitness journey began. I lost unwanted weight; gained muscle and strength and learned that strengthening the body effectively treats and eliminates aches and pains. From that necessity, my interest in physical fitness quickly became a passion to help others get fit on their own terms and achieve the results that improves their quality of life.

Currently, I am a CPT with Canfitpro and NCCPT, I am also SrFit Mature Fitness Training Specialty certified, Post Rehab Essentials, Level 1 with Precision Nutrition and working on my Precision Nutrition Level 2 Masters Certificate. I have numerous additional courses that are geared to helping you be the fittest you that you can be.

How do you actually put that in motion when you really don’t understand. Lisa has taken the time to explain it, gave helpful suggestions and swaps to make it easy. She regularly goes over my meal plan to make sure I’m on track. Lisa is truly interested in helping you to succeed and is full of great suggestions. I would highly recommend her.

    Lisa helped me prepare for my upcoming black belt testing. She took my fibromyalgia and scoliosis into consideration and was able to modify the workouts accordingly. Her fun personality made working out less painful and arduous! Lisa helped me work on my weak areas and balance the stronger ones. She made my back hurt less and even helped decrease the gap in my abs from my two pregnancies! She set the base for my training which resulted in my getting honours in my black belt final mark!
